a quickie

these are my last two pics of ben. i think they truly encompass his personality: sweet (a little bit pensive) and happy.

so last night i volunteered for the first time at god's love we deliver, this kitchen that prepares food mostly for folks who are homebound with HIV/AIDS but also folks with cancer and other debilitating diseases. i got to chop carrots and celery for soup and i got to meet a bunch of nice folks. people talked about their kids weddings, the movie dreamgirls and tivoing grey's anatomy. all the while the music was blaring and i felt like i was at a gay male bar in college. seriously disco, beyonce, madonna, etc. i am glad i went.

this morning i will be finishing up revisions on my conclusion and sending it off all while doing some laundry. later, we will take emily in for a follow up to her surgery to remove that cancerous growth. fingers crossed all the cancer is gone and she will live many more years. tonight we have a wedding to attend on the brooklyn bridge. some folks from jes's school are getting married.

this weekend we have dinner with supper club and then on sunday we are going to watch the chicago bear WHOOP the new orelans saints asses. i can't wait.
